NEEDED – a gently-used laptop with Windows XP so that we can do Power Point presentations on our big screen. If you have one and would like to donate it to the church, it would be greatly appreciated!
2008 GIVING ENVELOPES are in the back of the church. If you have requested envelopes, please pick up your box at your convenience. 2008 CALENDARS are also in the back of the church. Please help yourself to a copy!
CALVARY NURSERY SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE – Sat., Jan. 26, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Parents and children are invited to meet our teachers, play in the classroom, and walk the beautiful grounds, including our playscape and ocean views. Families will have a chance to watch footage of the nursery school in action including our Chapel and Music Together times. Calvary is Nationally Accredited by NAEYC and welcomes children of all backgrounds & traditions. Financial aid is available through The Katharine Post Palmer Mason and Jean Francis Scholarship Funds.
MISSING! The scrapbook/photo album containing picures and information concerning all of our needlepoint kneelers is missing. Anyone having information about the whereabouts of this book, please call Sue Kelley at 860-536-6030, or the church office at 860-535-1181.
BIBLE STUDY! Come on Tuesday mornings in Epiphany at 9:15 a.m. for discussions on a passage from Scripture. Scripture has a remarkable way to guide us through the dark times, alert us how to give thanks, and give us wisdom when we feel the well is dry. Come and join Mark, Sara, Grace and others as we join in conversation for an hour each of these Tuesday mornings. Bring a friend!
The LITURGICAL SCHEDULE OF USHERS, LECTORS, Ministers of Communion, etc. for March through June will soon be compiled. If you will be away during that time and unavailable to serve, please phone Jean McNutt at 535-9455 before March 4, and we will do our best to avoid scheduling you at an inconvenient time.
Members of our PASTORAL CARE TEAM are available to make visits to anyone in the parish or in the community confined to their home, the hospital or a nursing facility. Please let us know so that we can schedule a time to see them. We also keep a supply of Calvary Casseroles in the freezer in the Parish Hall waiting to be delivered to individuals and/or families for whom meal preparation might be difficult. Let us know so that we can help. Please call the parish office at 860-535-1181. Anyone who desires to be in Spiritual Direction or to learn more about Spiritual Direction, please contact the Rev’d Anne Kimball at 245-3677 or the Rev’d Emmett Jarrett at 437-8890.
