The PAWCATUCK NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER IS IN NEED OF FOOD for their pantry.  The donation especially helpful right now is a new product called “Casserole Bakes” and “Homestyle Bakes” – these are similar to Hamburger Helper but with meat included – a complete meal in a box.  Also on their wish list:  Canned tuna and chicken, chili, and fruit as well as fruit juice (in plastic, please!).  Help to end local hunger everytime you shop!  Donations can be dropped in the back of the church or directly at the PNC.  Thank you for your support.

DINNER ON SAT., APRIL 5TH:  St. David’s Episcopal Church, Rtes. 12 & 214 in Gales Ferry invites you to a Lasagna Dinner & L.U.N.C.H. Concert (Local United Network to Combat Hunger).  Lasagna Dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m.  The Concert begins at 7 p.m. with a pre-show at 6:30.  There will be crafts, baked goods, and lots of surprises!  Please call 860-464-6516 for more information or to order tickets.

WANTED:  Anyone interested in prison ministry!  Come to the First Annual Prison Ministries Forum (sponsored by FAITH BEHIND BARS) at Diocesan House on Sat., Apr. 19th from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m.  The Rt. Rev. Laura Ahrens will give the welcome address; James Tillman, wrongly imprisoned for more than 18 years for a crime that DNA evidence proved he did not commit, will speak about The Faith to Move Forward:  how religion and spirituality have allowed him to forgive a system that had sentenced him to 45 years in prison.  Also speaking will be several graduates from our Outreach-sponsored Chrysalis program at York.  Come and hear how effective your Outreach dollar is.  A $10. fee covers lunch in beautiful Diocesan House and materials.  Registration deadline is April 9, and registration information is posted in the Parish Hall.  Car-pooling is being arranged.  For more information, call the Rev. Valerie Dixon at 860-691-1522 or talk to Ann Moore.

NEEDED – a gently-used laptop with Windows XP so that we can do Power Point presentations on our big screen.  If you have one and would like to donate it to the church, it would be greatly appreciated!
