The EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE will meet on Wed., Dec. 3 at 5:00 in the Parish Hall. Juliet Leeming will chair the committee consisting of Michael Blair, Stephen Bessette, David Elks, Liz Hall, Candy Sanford, and Steve Williams.
A WORSHIP COMMITTEE has been formed and will hold its first meeting Dec. 6 at 11:00. Thank you to the following people for serving on the committee: Brian Barnard, Barbara Barnes, Meredith Brown, Cheryl Cummin, Ted Danforth, and Bill Morris.
IT’S ALMOST TIME TO DECK THE HALLS, and the CNS CHRISTMAS BAZAAR is right around the corner! Join us next Sunday, on Dec. 7th from 11:30 to 2 in the Parish Hall for soup and coffee and lots of festive holiday decorations and greens. See you there!
IT’S BACK! Resurrection Marmalade - $6/jar – proceeds go to Calvary Music School.
EVERY THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS SEASON, the ECW collects food for local families who need our help. In the past, our parishioners have been so generous. We would appreciate anything that you could contribute – either non-perishable food, a frozen turkey, or donations. A basket will be put in the back of the church for canned or packaged food.
COVENANT TO CARE – CHRISTMAS PRESENTS! Calvary Outreach Committee’s Covenant to Care will be providing Christmas gifts for needy children again this year. Norma Chandonnait will be heading up the project this year. Norma will be in the courtyard (weather permitting) or in the Parish Hall today and on Sunday, Dec. 7, following both services with wish lists for children. You can take an entire list, share a list, or donate money. Gifts should be purchased by Dec. 15th and delivered to Norma (925 Stonington Rd., Pawcatuck) or to the church office. If you need items picked up or have questions, please call Norma at 599-2931.
COFFEE HOUR HOSTS are needed for the new year. It is an easy ministry to provide a few simple sweets and to make coffee for those wanting to share fellowship and camaraderie after the 10:00 service. If you could do this just once or twice a year, it would be a tremendous help to Calvary. Please sign up on the sign-up sheet posted in the Parish Hall. Your help will be appreciated!
COOKS ARE NEEDED FOR THE WARM SHELTER. We provide a meal for 50 people on the third Wednesday of every month. There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall. If you have any questions, call Candy Sanford at 535-3399.
