ECW IS HAVING A SPRING TRIP TO THE WADSWORTH ATHENEUM!  Join us on Thurs., March 26 for “What Lies Beneath”.  This exhibition is small but powerful and sheds light on what is actually a more common phenomenon than previously thought.  The museum has been systematically examining many paintings in their collection with x-radiography to find what the naked eye cannot see beneath the surface.  This interactive process is fascinating, revealing, and a great deal of fun.  Departure from the soccer field parking lot is 9:30 a.m. with return approximately 2 p.m.  Price is $45.  Lunch is available at the cafeteria in the museum.  For reservations, call Winnie cutler after March 3rd at 572-9669, or Carole Barnard at 535-9480.

FAITH BEHIND BARS FORUM:  In these challenging economic times, do you know that 19,000 men and women are incarcerated in Connecticut at a cost of $96. per person per day?  Do you know that 2 out of 3 of those released will return to jail within three years, but 1 out of 3 will succeed in building a crime-free, drug-free life in the community?  What makes the difference?  The Annual Faith Behind Bars Prison Ministry Forum on Sat., March 28th at St. David’s in Gales Ferry will explore this critical question.  Hear from experienced prison ministry professionals and volunteers as well as from ex-offenders who experienced life-transformation while they were incarcerated.  Explore ways that people of faith can help make the difference that changes lives both “inside” and “outside” prison walls.  To find out more, please see the flyer on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall or email Tokunbo Green, Assistant to Bishop Laura Ahrens, at tgreen@ctdiocese.org.

IT’S BACK!  Resurrection Marmalade - $6/jar – proceeds go to Calvary Music School.  Marmalade is available in the church office.

THE COOKIN’ WITH CALVARY COOKBOOKS ARE HERE!  Pick up your copy today –This keepsake includes over 200 delicious recipes from the Calvary Nursery School families, Calvary community, and local friends and businesses.  Hard cover books are professionally published and available at Lenten Luncheons throughout March or by contacting Christine Cabral at 860.445.7733 or cabrals@rocketmail.com.  All proceeds go to Calvary Nursery School programs and Calvary Outreach initiatives.  Thank you for your support!

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS are needed.  It is an easy ministry to provide a few simple sweets and to make coffee for those wanting to share fellowship and camaraderie after the 10:00 service.  If you could do this just once or twice a year, it would be a tremendous help to Calvary.  Please sign up on the sign-up sheet posted in the Parish Hall.  Your help will be appreciated!
