Our friends at the PAWCATUCK NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER need donations of canned fruit, boxed cereal, jars of jam and jelly, and any other non-perishable food items. Next time you’re grocery shopping, why not pick up a few extra items and place them in the basket at the back of the church. Many local families need our help!
New PARISH DIRECTORIES are available in the back of the church. No photos, but information is up to date!
THE NEW SEABURY DEANERY WEB SITE IS UP AND READY FOR YOU TO READ! If you’d like to find out what a deanery does, how Calvary is a part of it, and more about the member churches, here’s the address: www.seaburydeanery.org.
MOVIE NIGHT AT CALVARY FOR YOUTH! Every fourth Saturday of the month (next one is Sat., May 23rd) from 7 to 9 p.m. Please check online calendar for details!
The FLOWER GUILD NEEDS DONATIONS to assure we have altar flowers each Sunday. There are many open dates! Please consider making a donation of $60. as a memorial gift or in thanksgiving for blessings. You may phone Phyllis at 860.535.1181 to check the date and to give us the wording you’d like to appear in the bulletin. Then mail your check or place it in the alms basin with a memo of “Altar Flowers” and the date. Questions? Phone Gloria Gorby (535-0578), Flower Guild Chair, or Phyllis in the office.
COFFEE HOUR HOSTS are needed. It is an easy ministry to provide a few simple sweets and to make coffee for those wanting to share fellowship and camaraderie after the 10:00 service. If you could do this just once or twice a year, it would be a tremendous help to Calvary. Please sign up on the sign-up sheet posted in the Parish Hall. Your help will be appreciated!
The Rector re-formed a WORSHIP COMMITTEE in December, 2008 whose members are Brian Barnard, Barbara Barnes, Deb Burgess, Meredith Brown, Cheryl Cummin, Bill Morris, and the Rector. The committee meets the third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. in the Vestry Room and welcomes thoughts, ideas and suggestions from the congregation.
