ADVENT LESSONS & CAROLS – MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  Next Sun., Dec. 6th, Calvary Singers will lead the worship in our annual Advent Lessons & Carols Service.  The service begins at 5 p.m.  You are warmly invited to join us for this festive worship service!

YOUNG PERFORMERS needed for this year’s CHRISTMAS PAGEANT!  Please send The Rev’d Amjad Samuel an email at cecalvchurch@aol.com if you want your child to participate.

COVENANT TO CARE – CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!  Calvary Outreach Committee’s Covenant to Care will be providing Christmas gifts for needy children again this year.  Norma Chandonnait will be heading up the project again this year.  Norma will be in the courtyard (weather permitted) or in the Parish Hall on Sunday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 6, following both services with wish lists for children.  You can take an entire list, share a list, or donate money.  Gifts should be purchased by Dec. 14 and delivered to Norma at 925 Stonington Rd., Pawcatuck, or to the church office.  If you need items picked up or have questions, please call Norma at 860-599-2931.

During the month of November, Calvary Outreach, along with the ECW and Calvary Nursery School will be COLLECTING FOOD FOR THE PAWCATUCK NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER’S THANKSGIVING PROJECT.  Donations of instant potatoes or rice, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, and store gift certificates for turkeys would be greatly appreciated.

FOOD FOR BODY, MIND, AND SOUL saw an outpouring of Holy Spirit as 30 of God’s children of all ages shared food & thoughts on Tues., Nov. 10th.  Our next meeting is Tues., Dec. 8th at 6:00.  Same formet.  We will be reading Genesis, Chapters 2 & 3.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS are needed.  It is an easy ministry to provide a few simple sweets and to make coffee for those wanting to share fellowship and camaraderie after the 10:00 service.  If you could do this just once or twice a year, it would be a tremendous help to Calvary.  Please sign up on the sign-up sheet posted in the Parish Hall.  Your help will be appreciated!

INVITATION:  Has the Grinch stolen your Christmas spirit?  Would you like your faith in Santa Claus restored?  You are invited to join the Spirit of Christmas and elves at their workshop at the Niantic Community Church, 170 Pennsylvania Ave., on Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m. as they choose, wrap, package, and post thousands of presents for the children of the women incarcerated at York, a daunting task nourished by scrumptious snacks, an irresistible pizza lunch, and the fellowship of Christian elves.  Wrappers are welcome at any time, for as long as they can stay, but don’t come too late – amazingly we usually finish by about 2 p.m.  For the full effect of this miracle, it is suggested that you stay for the whole show!  Any questions, call Ann Moore at 535-0430.

CALVARY CHURCH ALTAR FLOWERS FUND – Altar arrangements in memory of a loved one or in celebration of a special occasion may be sponsored for a donation of $60.  Gift forms are available at the back of the church or you may call Phyllis in the office at 535-1181 or Gill Perry at 535-8139.  You may also donate a lesser amount of your choosing toward the Calvary Church Altar Flowers Fund.  Your gift will be used, together with those of others, on the Sundays when there is no designated gift.  The names of donors will appear in the bulletin or you may mark your gift “Anonymous”.  Please mark the memo line of your check “Flower Fund” and mail to Calvary Church or place in the alms basin.  Should you wish to join the Flower Guild, please do not hesitate to call.
