WE PLAN TO RECOGNIZE, CELEBRATE, AND PRAY FOR OUR GRADUATES DURING THE JUNE 3 YOUTH SUNDAY SERVICE HERE AT CALVARY. If you know of anyone from Calvary who is graduating from High School, College, Graduate School or other, please call the church office so that we can include them on June 3. We would rather have several people alert us of the same graduate than to have everyone assume we know, so please call.
LITURGICAL VOLUNTEERS - We will be moving to an online scheduling system. Please contact Elizabeth Reid at firstname.lastname@example.org with your current email address, and she will send you the log-in information for Ministry Scheduling Pro. For those that do not have email, please call her at 860-572-1131 and give her the dates you will be unavailable from July 1 through September 3. You will receive the summer schedule via email, and a hard copy will go out to those without email. Thank you!
The CRYSALIS PROGRAM will end for the summer on June 6, and presumably will resume in the fall. Please deposit any materials you wish to donate in the box outside Phyllis’ office by the end of this month. Your generous response to the earlier request for yarn and fabric is very much appreciated by the women at York. Stevie Champion.
ECW SPRING YARD SALE & FAIR – The Annual ECW Yard Sale & Fair will be held on Sat., June 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Sooo, while you’re cleaning out your closets, basements and attics, please keep us in mind. We are looking for books, both children’s and adult, summer clothing for men, women and children, linens, houseplants and garden plants, our ever popular attic treasures, jewelry, toys, and don’t forget to look for “one nice thing” that we can sell in our Boutique. Our Preview Party will be held on Fri., June 1, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Courtyard. Wine, cheese and non-alcoholic drinks will be served, while our parish members have the opportunity to see our sale and shop first. We will be accepting items on Wed., May 30 from 2 to 6 p.m., Thurs., May 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fri., June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Let us know if you need any heavy items picked up. This is an all-parish event, so we welcome all volunteers. We need helpers to set up and price all items, and to help sell them on Friday night and Saturday. Last year’s sale was a tremendous success, thanks to the help and support from you, the parishioners of Calvary. We sincerely thank you and look forward to seeing you all, in one capacity or another, again this year. Julia Stapleton & Carole Barnard for the ECW.
Please help the PAWCATUCK NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER raise $5,000 to purchase milk for children. The milk we distribute every Friday during the school year and throughout the summer costs the PNC $5,000 per year. Please make your check payable to Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, 27 Chase St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 with a check memo of Hunger Awareness Month. Many thanks. Vicki Anderson
There will be a VETERANS’ LUNCHEON AT THE PAWCATUCK VFW on Tues., May 29 from 11 to 1. Any current or retired member of the armed forces is encouraged to attend this special event. No RSVP is necessary. Food and beverages will be served, and students from the SHS music department will provide music and entertainment. The luncheon is being put on by some Stonington High School students.
