Sundays:
Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m.* (from the Sunday following Labor Day through the month of June).
At 10 a.m. the following settings are used for the celebration of Holy Eucharist:
1st Sunday: Choral Mass
2nd Sunday: Enriching Our Worship
3rd Sunday: Holy Eucharist Rite II
4th Sunday: Morning Prayer and Holy Eucharist Rite I
5th Sunday: Holy Eucharist Rite II
Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8 and 9:30 a.m.*(July 1st through Labor Day weekend).
* Childcare is available each Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.

Midweek:
The service of Morning Prayer is held each Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

Occasional Services:
Choral Evensong is offered several times annually, with all services beginning at 5 p.m. Services are held each day during Holy Week. Taizé, healing services, and other services are held from time to time. Call the Church Office for more details: 860.535.1181, x16.

Christian Formation at Calvary Church
Children

Childcare: The Nursery is available Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for infants to children three years of age. The Nursery is located in the Parish Hall.

Church School/Children’s Chapel: Church School classes are offered for children four years of age through grade 6 from mid-September through mid-June. Classes begin in the Parish Hall at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. All classes join together for a brief Children’s Chapel before rejoining their families in worship to share in the community’s celebration of Holy Eucharist.
Special events for children and their families such as the Blessing of the Animals, Saint Nicholas celebration, Pancake Supper and Youth and Children’s Sunday occur throughout the year.

Youth

Worship: Beginning in the 7th grade, youth of the parish join their families for the entirety of the worship services.

Acolytes: Youth in grades 7-12 are eligible to serve as Acolytes. Training for new and current acolytes takes place in October. Youth are also encouraged to consider serving as lectors or ushers.

Youth Group: Youth in grades 7-12 are also invited to join the Youth Group. The youth group meets on the second Sunday of each month following the 10 a.m. service. A second outing or field trip is planned most months.

Confirmation: Youth are invited to prepare for Confirmation beginning in the 10th grade. The program of preparation begins in October and concludes the following spring with the service of Confirmation in early May.

Adults

Bible Study: Adult Bible Studies are offered from time to time following the 8:00 services and following the 10:00 services.

Other offerings: Book studies, Sunday morning adult forums, films and other venues for adult Christian Formation are offered through the year. Call the Church Office for more details at 860.535.1181 ext. 16.
